COMMON QUESTIONS

  • Multiple breaks throughout the calendar year are provided, including Thanksgiving Break, Christmas Break, Spring Break and Summer Break. We do not allow students to leave earlier or arrive later than the times specified in our handbook and calendar unless cleared by the JSM director. Any violations will be addressed at the time of occurrence.

  • We do not recommend First year students to have a job, however, it will be considered upon request to the JSM Director. The first year is dedicated to acclimating to a new structure, learning to balance online classes, homework, and ministry school, while learning the culture at Judah Church. Second year students are encouraged to hold a part time job that works around their schedule.

  • Tuition is $4,700. A $600 deposit required at the start of the first semester. Just click the button “Submit your deposit” at the the top of the page, then select Judah School of Ministry and include your full name in the memo. Students who are enrolled in SEU (Southeastern University will pay a site fee that covers the remainder of JSM tuition, which is $4100 after the deposit.

  • Orientation begins on Labor Day every year and classes first start the day after. SEU classes start in August. This gives you time to get started with your academic classes before you start the discipleship portion and hands on ministry at Judah Church.

    SEU classes end in May, however JSM ends on the last Sunday in June. Students may have the opportunity to extend their stay in order to go on a mission trip or work at youth camp.

  • The students will have obtained a wealth of experience and skills in every area of ministry including production, media, Children’s Ministry (all ages), Youth Ministry, Pulpit Ministry, First Impressions Team, Armor Bearer, Evangelism/Outreach, Drama, Worship Team, Flag Ministry, Intercessory Prayer and much more. They will learn about Godly character, identity according to the Word of God and also go through Leadership training. They will learn how to lead a team, and be able to lead in the area that they are called to do.

  • If a student lives locally, we advise they do not go home on weekends or days off at the beginning portion of the year. This is to ensure they receive the maximum experience that JSM has to offer. If a student does want to go home for any period of time, they will have to personally speak with the JSM director to receive clearance. Students will be allowed to travel home for emergency situations or special occasions such as a death/funeral, weddings, or a special family event.

  • It is recommended that students have their own transportation to and from the school. Transportation will be provided for ministry trips and special group outings.

  • YES! Through our partnership with Southeastern Univerisity (https://partners.seu.edu/charlotte/), we offer weekly classes at our Charlotte campus. Classes will be online here at our Charlotte campus.

  • Donations must be specified by name in the memo section for online giving, or written on the check. If not specified for a certain student, your donation will go into the general funds that help support trips/materials/housing for the interns.

  • Students will live either in our student housing, which is a dormitory style housing, an apartment or a family style home depending on the needs and size of our student body.

  • The structure of JSM is designed around online college classes.
